Title: Cow'rrabba's
Location: Upper Kirby District: Kirby between Westheimer and Richmond
Artist: P. McGowan Johnson "MAC"
Sponsor: Upper Kirby District
Carrabba's

The Concept was collaborative effort with the artist, Mac Johnson and the sponsor Cow’rrabba’s. Dee Davis and Rhonda Anderson of Carrabba’s and the artist, Mac Johnson, wanted to remind everyone how fun Italian food is, by creating scenes of Italy right on the cow. The famous images of Venice’s Grand Canal and Bridge of Sighs were naturals along with attachments of the proverbial red and white-checkered tablecloth and Italian food. This creative cow brings Italy right to you!

Artist and cow’tourier, Johnson has studied with fine working artists, in the Museums of the world, and at various schools and universities. Johnson has degrees from U.S.C. and U. MD completing a Masters degree. Represented by Gallery 3 in Houston, you may contact Johnson via the gallery. In addition to cows, Johnson works in the medium of fine printmaking, painting, and letterpress in a sky lighted 1200 square foot studio located at Winter Street Art Center in an industrial area in the lower Houston Heights off Sawyer between I 10 and Washington.

This cow was sold in Flight 5 of the internet auction hosted by Amazon.com that ran from December 21 - 29, 2001.
